Priest Needs More Than Michigan Alcohol Class

It pains me to say that there have been many “men of the cloth” who have been arrested for horrific crimes. These men, ordained to do God’s work, have found themselves on the wrong side of the law far too often.

In Dearborn, Michigan, a pastor of a Catholic parish was arrested after police pulled him over after they noticed him driving erratically. As reported in www.digtriad.com.

Normally, erratic driving won’t get you arrested. If you are intoxicated, however, you can rest assured you will be heading to the pokey!

When police approached his vehicle they not only smelled alcohol but noticed that the priest was completely naked! He admitted to officers that he liked to drive around naked. Why who doesn’t for crying out loud?

The Rev. Peter Petroske’s clothes were scattered across the inside of his 2002 Volkswagen Passat. He was allowed to get dressed before stepping out of the vehicle for sobriety tests, which he failed.

After detecting a strong odor of alcohol in the vehicle and that Petroske was unable to recite the alphabet correctly or count backward. A chemical test showed his blood-alcohol level was .09.

The 57-year-old Petroske was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and indecent exposure.

I hope this man understands that alcohol makes him behave aberrantly. I hope he takes an alcohol class and can find his way back into God’s good graces.
