In our ever-popular blog series “Celebrity Drug” we now check in on one of Hollywood’s leading ladies, Angelina Jolie. The buxom actress best known for being married to Brad Pitt, adopting children from around the world and making out with her brother on national television admits she had a very bad drug problem.
The 36-year-old Jolie is raising six children with Pitt, 47, on their estate in the French Countryside.
The actress hints at her past drug addiction and unhealthy lifestyle in an upcoming 60 Minutes interview.
In her own words, she is lucky to be alive.
“I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things.”
About 10 years ago a bunch of friends and I did a “celebrity death” fantasy league where you draft celebrities who you think may die and get one point for every year under 100. Jolie was a top-pick almost every year!
Jolie is also the daughter of Hollywood star Jon Voigt. On the positive side it is nice to see that she turned her life around. So few of the youngsters in Hollywood that stray off the beaten path, getting addicted to drugs and alcohol, make their way back to become productive members of society.
