I have said it time and again that celebrities should not be role models. The frequency with which they are arrested for driving under the influence are a good reason why people should not seek to emulate them completely.
Like many, I am a huge fan of the 1999 hit comedy “American Pie”. This group of hard partying actors certainly have had their run-ins with the law. Take these actors arrested for DUI.
Chris Klein
You might recall that Klein played the athlete with a heart, even singing in the choir. Klein was no poster-boy for a good, young heart American teen when he was arrested for DUI. This American Pie actor was charged with having double the legal limit of booze in his system. He pleaded guilty and was fined $1,800 and ordered to perform 150 hours of community service.
Natasha Lyonne
In August of 2001 Miami Beach police arrested this actress who played the supporting role of Jessica in the American Pie films and charged her with DUI. She plead guilty and was sentenced to probation, community service, and had her license suspended.
Once again, movies are great and many celebrities are attractive individuals, but they are not role models.
