In the Hollywood blockbuster film child-actor Haley Joel Osment could see and communicate with dead people.  It’s too bad Bruce Willis’ character couldn’t tell him that he should not drink and drive because a driving under the influence violation was in his future.

Minors Cannot Drink Any Alcohol

The child-actor was under the age of 21 when he was pulled over in Los Angeles after police spotted him driving erratically.  While his blood-alcohol concentration of .05 was well over the legal limit which does not allow for alcohol in the blood of a minor while operating a motor vehicle, it was the marijuana in his car and in his blood that may have caused his DUI.

Nevertheless, rocketing to stardom in “The Sixth Sense” and “Payback” with Kevin Spacey, Osment, like many child actors, succumbed to the pressures of drugs and alcohol.  For his offense, he was ordered to attend 60 hours of alcohol rehabilitation, was given three years of probation, and had a to pay a $1,500 fine.

As usual, I encourage the public not to view celebrities as role models. We all are capable of achieving success and we all are susceptible to the evil wiles of drugs and alcohol. Live your life and control your intake of any foreign substances.
