How often do you read about an alcohol-related incident involving a horse? Despite the century, it seems to be happening more often all the time. When is the last time you rode a horse while intoxicated?

I recently blogged about a man in Denver who was recently arrested for riding a horse while under the influence of alcohol along with a few other criminal offenses. As reported in www.mystatecollegelawyer.com.

Here is a question for you - is a horseback DUI possible in Pennsylvania?

There is a law in Pennsylvania, that states: "[e]very person riding an animal or driving any animal-drawn vehicle upon a roadway shall be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle by this part, except those provisions of this part which by their very nature can have no application or where specifically provided otherwise." Basically, this law says that a person riding a horse must comply with traffic laws unless the laws by their very nature have no application.

Let it be stated right here that it is most-likely hazardous to your health to ride a horse drunk. Before attempting such an endeavor I encourage all of you to take a maximum level alcohol awareness class. What do you think?
