Alcohol and Ecstasy Do Not Mix

The folly of youth hurts most of us. For some, however, it is deadly. I know I was lucky to have survived an adolescence of drug abuse. God only knows why I was saved. Kids need to be aware they can die. Doing drugs and combining them is a recipe for disaster.

England

According to www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk A 19-year-old from Gloucestershire, England suffered a heart attack and almost died after reportedly taking a cocktail of alcohol and the drug ecstasy.

When police arrived at the scene at 12:45AM an 18-year-old and the 19-year-old both were having serious health issues. Neither wanted to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. The two men are believed to have taken a cocktail of alcohol and class A drug MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) - known as ecstasy.

Lucky for the 19-year-old, an officer convinced him to be checked out at the local hospital, otherwise he might be dead. While at the hospital, the 19-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest.

Given my past and my faith that only through the graces of the Lord that I have survived, I do all I can to help youth avoid the mistakes I made. Drug education makes a difference. If even one life is saved from any class or talk I give, I realize why God saved me.
